This policy explains what data schengencalc.app (“the Service”) handles and how. The short version: your trip data never leaves your device, and we collect as little as possible.
Your trip data stays on your device
The dates you enter are stored only in your browser's local storage. They are never uploaded to or stored on our servers, and we cannot see them. Deleting your trips in the app or clearing your browser data removes them permanently.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and performance. These tools collect anonymized technical data (such as page views, country-level location and device type) without cookies and without identifying you personally.
Advertising
We may display ads served by Google AdSense. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show personalized ads — in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland only after you give consent through a consent banner. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and change your choice in the banner at any time.
Cookies
The Service itself does not set tracking cookies. Advertising cookies may be set only as described above, after consent where required.
Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data. The only third parties involved are our hosting provider (Vercel) and, once ads are enabled, Google — each processing data under their own policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection. Because we hold no personal data about you on our servers, most of it is already under your direct control. For any privacy question or request, contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves (for example, when advertising launches). The date above always reflects the latest version.
